The NBNL community is a place for motorcycling enthusiasts — with a community stream, public profiles and groups. So that everyone feels comfortable here, the following rules apply. They are part of our terms of use (§ 5c) and binding for all posts, comments, reactions, profile and group content. In short: Be genuine, be fair, post only what is yours.

• Your own photos, tours, experiences and questions about motorcycling.
• Respectful, factual discussions — including where opinions differ.
• Helpfulness: tips on routes, technology, gear and travel.
• Consideration for newcomers and novice riders.

The following in particular are prohibited:

• Insults, incitement, discrimination, bullying, harassment or threats.
• Content glorifying violence, harmful to minors, pornographic or otherwise unlawful.
• Infringement of copyright, trade mark or personality rights — e.g. other people’s photos, press images, manufacturer or product images without permission.
• Unauthorised advertising, spam, chain posts or repeatedly identical content.
• Circumventing communication within the platform, for example through links, domains, email addresses or social media handles in the post text (these are blocked automatically).
• Publishing other people’s personal data without their consent.
• Calls for illegal behaviour (e.g. modifying vehicles contrary to their type approval, speeding on public roads).

Only upload images you created yourself or for which you have explicit permission. If other people are recognisable in an image, you need their consent to publish it (right to one’s own image, § 22 KunstUrhG). We automatically remove EXIF and GPS metadata from publicly displayed images. AI-generated images must be marked as such.

The following apply in addition: terms of use for image uploads.

You decide what is visible. You can make posts public, visible only to friends or private . Your profile only becomes public once you actively enable it — individual blocks (location, bike, statistics, gallery and others) can be shown or hidden separately. Automatic activity notices only appear if you enable the stream.

For visitors who are not signed in and for search engines, your display name is masked. Posts set to public are readable with text and images even without an account; comments remain reserved for signed-in members. How we process this data is described in the privacy policy.

If you come across content that breaches these rules or the law, use the function „Melden" on the post, comment or activity. We confirm receipt and review every report promptly, carefully and without arbitrary disadvantage (reporting procedure under Art. 16 Digital Services Act). If we then remove or restrict content, we inform the person concerned of the essential reasons (Art. 17 DSA).

Personality-rights matters (e.g. a photo of you without consent) can additionally be sent to datenschutz@nbnl.de The DSA point of contact for authorities and users can be found in the legal notice.

If you simply want nothing more to do with someone, you can block them — in your personal views you then no longer see each other’s posts, comments and activities and can no longer interact. Public posts remain visible to everyone. Blocking is independent of reporting: for rule or legal violations, please still use “Report”.

In the event of breaches we can remove or restrict the content concerned. In the event of repeated or serious breaches we can temporarily suspend or permanently delete the account (§ 8c of the terms of use). Where there are indications of a danger to the life or safety of persons, we inform the competent authorities (Art. 18 DSA).

Use of the community is permitted from the age of 16. Younger persons may only use NBNL with the explicit consent of a parent or guardian (Art. 8 GDPR, § 3a of the terms of use).
